LET'S DIVE INTO OUR CORE FIVE

At Argosy, we strive to be the best that we can be. Below shows our highest priorities in ensuring that the foundation of the company is upkept. These are are the values that we align ourselves with each and every day.

We are ferry, ferry grateful!

Community Giving

Community is everything and is entwined in our purpose and core values. For several years, the Puget Sound Business Journal has honored Argosy Cruises as one of the most giving companies in Washington State. These charities are not only important to us, but our employees and guests.

Below is a handful of foundations, programs and funds we currently give to. This is not all, but a few of our community efforts. We are proud to continue to make a difference for other organizations and people in the Puget Sound region.

Under the supervision of medical professionals, young cancer patients and their siblings go on week long summer camp on Vashon where they get to experience a “normal kid summer”. Since 1984, Argosy has been lucky to sponsor more than 70 Camp Goodtime transportation trips back and forth, on and off the island. One of our very own employees since 1979 Paul Dudley, who volunteers at Camp Goodtimes in his free time, is our go-to captain for these sailings!

Our annual Christmas Ship™ donates a portion of ticket sales to our partner, the Seattle Times. Their fund allocates the money to thirteen local agencies in Washington. A few agencies like Kindering Center, Lifewire, and Asian Counsel and Referring Services.

Every year we present Alan Fisco, president of Seattle Times, with a whopping check. After 23 years of partnership, we have donated over $700,000 in total funds and we look forward to that number growing!

Our neighbor not too far down the road. In the past two decades, Argosy has donated tens of thousands of dollars to their funds Windows of Washington Waters expansion and Ocean Pavilion. In addittion, we have made significant experiential donations to their annual SPLASH! Auction.

We participated in providing complimentary tickets to families part of the program so they could enjoy some well-deserved time on the water. Some experiences included a very special trip to the wheelhouse!

We continue to offer free Harbor Cruise tickets to patients and their families. While under treatment for cancer, we hope to give  a breath of fresh air while doing something engaging and fun.

Part owner of Argosy Cruises, Cary Clark, likes to say we offer FUN not FUNDS with tour ticket donations. She herself would send out complimentary tour passes to hundres of philanthropic organizations for auctions or other fundraising efforts. In 2018 alone, Argosy Cruises supported almost 500 organizations.
